Dvd Recorder question

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm thinking of buying a cheap DVD recorder but can't seem to find out anywhere whether it is possible to edit recordings (such as cutting out adverts) before finalising the disc.
I know these type of functions are avaliable on the HDD DVD recorders, but how about normal DVD recorders?

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

Also I have seen a few dvd recorders, can anyone tell me which would be my best bet to go for:
LiteOn LVW 5006
Matsui DVDR100
LG DR7400

Sure - you can edit discs on dvd recorders which support DVD-RAM and unfortunately that isn't any of the ones you have listed. These are Panasonic JVC Toshiba Hitachi and Samsung. The
Panasonic DMR-ES10 should do what you require for a cheap price. In the region of £150 or so :
