Hi , I have a Panasonic DVD recorder DMR-EZ25 which I bought 2nd hand a while ago( unfortunately without a remote).
It has been working fine since I got it but when I plugged it in after a period of not being used the display keeps changing back to SD rather than the A1 recording mode and I cannot record to disc.
There is no SD card in the machine and I am connected to sky box via scart.
When I do press record the message is "cannot record to card drive" and tells me to press enter on the remote(which I don't have). Any answers please?
cheers

Get an original or pattern remote for it so you can select the correct input (not "recording mode")
EDIT. Check the front panel for an "Input" button.

Yeah thanks, I've ordered a replacement remote from ebay, hopefully that'll work. There is no input button on the front panel. cheers

It seems to have fixed itself, I left it switched on all afternoon and when I came back it was on the A1 input. thanks (PS. no drive select button)
