    Hey all,

Does anyone here own a dvd recorder and also use it for playback through an av amp? If so what is the quality like? I am thinking of getting a dvd recorder but may keep my dvd player for playback.

    Cheers :)

Why don't you tell us what your DVD player is? Generally speaking, a dedicated player will be better than a DVD recorder playing back, but you may get better advice by giving a little more information.

I have an all in one system which is the sony dav-s550. It's very good and I guess I could just use it as an amplifier if I were to use the recorder for playback. However at the moment I also use the sony for music. However I am hoping to upgrade to seperates for music eventually.

Does anyone think that a dvd recorder could give better playback than my all-in-one system?
