Not sure if this is the correct forum, so please let me know if there is a more appropriate one... I currently have a DVD/VCR combi and a moddified XBOX with Xbox Media Centre connected to my PC which allows me to play music and video files through my surround sound amp/tv. I want to get rid of the VCR element and HD recording seems to be the way forward. The Xbox Media Centre is fantastic but it's another box next to the TV and it's very noisy. Then I saw the Kiss DP-558 and thought that I may be onto a winner. http://www.kiss-technology.com/?p=558&v=users http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...m9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=80254&_LOC=UK It's a DVD Player, a hard disk recorder and with the ethernet connection/pc-link software, you can access media on a networked PC. Sounds great but I have a couple of reservations: 1) No DVD recorder. But could I copy video to the PC & burn it there? 2) Apparently no DTS on the DVD player... Has anyone had experience of any of the Kiss products? Does anyone know of other products that combine DVD/HD and Networked media playing capabilities?
