The toshiba sx32 does... I think the others do to.

    with the toshiba, you can
record onto harddrive whille watching a dvd
record onto hardrive while watching the harddrive
record onto a dvd while watching the harddrive
start watching what you are recording
high speed dub to the dvd while watching the harddrive
high speed dub to the dvd while recording to the harddrive

    .......

With the Panasonic E100 you can (and i'm sure this applies to other Pans)

record onto harddrive whille watching a DVD(RAM)
record onto hardrive while watching the harddrive
record onto DVD while watching the DVD
record onto a dvd while watching the harddrive
start watching what you are recording on HD
start watching what you are recording on DVD

Panasonic and Pioneer(not sure about Tosh) will NOT allow you to record normal PAL to the HDD if you are watching an NTSC disc-and vice versa

That's interesting. Since the Tosh (PAL version) does not have NTSC recording, one should not expect to show this problems. Will try this next time I'm watching a NTSC disk and report back or other Tosh owner can confirm this.

I vaguely remember another post somewhere saying the Tosh COULD record PAL while playing NTSC-ironic as it's the only one without NTSC recording
