I am hoping to get the Panasonic DMR-HS1 DVD and hard disk recorder when it is released (hopefully in the next month or so).

I want to use this for recording digital cable and playing through a DLP projector via S-video.

With regard to playing pre-recorded DVD's is it worth getting a second DVD player?

I have component cables to the projector althought the DMR-HS1 has component outputs (also has progressive scan although I jave this on the projector as well). It also has digital coaxial/optical out foir connection to my amp.

Would this negate getting a second player?

    Cheers,

    Pip
