    Hi

How many minutes of recording can DVD-RAM camcorders/discs take? And at what quality settings?

    Thanks.

At best quality you will get 20 minutes on a DVD-RAM disk. Most if not all DVD-RAM disks are double sided so this is doubled to 40 minutes per disk, but you do need to remove the disk and turn it over manually.
The different recording qualities/times are dependent on the make & model of the cam, but you can easily get up to an hour per side but the quality will be fairly low.

Thanks for your great help, Mark.

I notice that double sided DVD-R and DVD-RW may be available, but I can't find any. Do you know when they're coming out by any chance?

I've never seen double sided DVD-R/RW disks or even the mention of a future release of them, sorry.

    Mark.
