    Hi all,
    A little background:
Currently I'm recording my favorite TV series on my Panny E60 and then copying across each episode to the PC using TMPG DVD Author. This creates a mpg file for editing / removing ads etc.

I want to acheive the following:
    (1) HDD storage for the episodes in a series
    e.g.
    Series\season1\episode1
    Series\season1\episode2
    Series\season1\episode3
    Series\season2\episode1
    ...

where each episode is either an AVI or a MPEG4/DIVX format (conversion using XVID)
Using DVD author u can only craete the VIDEO_TS DVD fomat, so how do I go about converting to another format? Can anyone recommend any software that can do this ? (e.g. from doom9.org).

    (2) Series archive
This is where the original files are archived out onto a DVD - at the moment I'm only adding from a single file at a time using DVD author and not multiple files which would give multiple chapters.
I've read the excellent PC GUIDE: DVD-RAM (inc DVD-RW VR-Mode) To DVD-R guide, but couldn'd find anywhere a section on archiving multiple files to DVD
Any urls / pointers would be great

Am I going mad ?? Is this a good idea?
    Many thanks,
    OscarP
