I have bought my parents a BUSH DVD & VCR combi for xmas. It is connected via RF and Scart.

All is well except for watching Channel 5 on the actual TV.

If the Combi drive is turned OFF - all is well, channel 5 on TV is perfect.

When the combi is turned ON, we lose channel 5 thru the TV tuner (or its extremely poor)..... does anybody know what is causing this?

If you watch Channel 5 thru the video tuner (AV3 scart) all is well.

I remember years ago when C5 first came out a man had to come to tune in the video - does this still happen????

n.b all other terrestial channels are fine (ie BBC1,2 etc)

What is happening here? Can anybody help? :lease:

    It seems bizzarre to me......

    Thanks in Advance :hiya:

It is possible that Ch5 in your area clashes with the RF channel the combi sends its RF output through. It would 'overpower' the rel Ch5 setting. 37 is often used as a factory RF setting.
There will be a way to change it and I suggest you make it match the previous video.
The TV probably has a menu system that will tell you what RF channel is tuned to the VCR (e.g something like 45).
