sorry posted this in dvd talk but i think i got the wrong forum -

    hi all,

complete noob here & i think i may have made a big mistake.

i work in a school & we have planned to copy all our old physics videos onto dvd (we own the originals) . to this end i have purchased a PANASONIC DMR-E50EBS.
the plan was to use this to copy the vids onto dvd-r disks & then stick cheap dvd players in the labs to play them on.
it appears that cheap players wont play these disks - is this correct?
are there any cheap-ish dvd players available in the uk that will play dvd-r disks? does it have to be multi-region? or do i need another dvd recorder to play these disks on? or should i feign a headache & go home now?

    many thanks,

    PMF

No don't worry about it. Many players if not most play dvd-r. It doesn't have to be multi region.

The Limit DVD8070 plays the disks perfectly and is £79.99.

I tried the very cheap accoustic solutions machines and all played the disks but jittered badly throughout.
