DVD+R/DVD+RW Owners Please Help

Is there anyone out there that owns a DVD+R / DVD+RW DVD Recorder that wouldn't mind helping me out??

I'm thinking of buying one, but I want to know which DVD players in the family the recordings will play on - can anyone post me a recording (of anything) that I can use to test (will post back straight away when finished).
