I thought it said "launched in the spring". So that'll probably be towards the end of the year until we can actually buy some.

Then what will we burn them with? Any news of whether the Pioneer 109 firmware can be adapted to a 108?

There are already several DVD burners with DVD-R DL support. How reliable they will be though remains to be seen. DVD+R DL had awful support initially - and on some burners this still hasn't been rectified. I would expect the same from DVD-R DL despite it's official status.

Guess we'll have to see - but I would expect to be able to buy these discs by Summer.
