dvd/ pwd6 prob HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

    hi
    just got me pwd6bx..lovely pic apart from region 1 dvd,s they get like a flashing pic , region 2 perfect , the dvd as been modded to play r1 disks, if i put them on my 42 rear projection no probs!!
    the player is sony dvd dav sc8 please help as been trying for hours as well
    as putting the panny on the wall!!
    terminal board is scart (brand new with plasma)

    guessing here...............................could it be something to do with progressive scan................................is it currenlty switched on or off?

    It might be that the panasonic scart board doesn't like NTSC signals? You certainly would have no problems on component video, doesn't the Davs 8 have this? Or is tam right, and is it prog scan on NTSC only, and therefore is trying to output prog scan on scart and that's what the Panny doesn't like. Get into the menu and turn it off, or is it a switch on the back on that one?

    On the DVD, not the screen. The screen tries to autosense whatever is sent, we think this is the prob. You need to set the Davs to interlaced.

    hi mate
    i have a 42 in rear projection as well and had no probs with reg 1 dvds on that for over a year now..

    got it sorted changed the settings on dvd to rgb...
