Hello all, I would like some advice.
I currently have a decent DVD player, but am considering an upgrade.
    I am currently using a Pioneer DV656A.
This is fed into Denon 3805 with component and dig coax.
The Denon sends visual to display via component.
    My display is Pioneer PDP50MXE-1.
I bought this DVD player a while ago with movies and music in mind, but I am
now considering a DVD for purely movie playback.
I have no price margin in mind, I will consider all suggestions and assess the
gains in quality against price. It must be multi region.
    So please fire away........
    One question.
Does Denon link give vastly great advantages over other connections.
    Thank you.

    Johnny.

Well IMO the Arcam DVD players are very difficault to beat. I know there is currently (unless it has recently been sold) a DV27 up for grabs at about £500 in the classified forum (no, nothing to do with me!) that is excellent with both picture and audio.
Does the PDP50MXE-1 have a DVI/HDCP input? If so then a new DV79 at £1000 would be another good buy, or if the budget stretches that far a DV29 at £1600.
The Arcam DVD players do also make very good CD players, which most DVD players are poor at!

    Mark.

The Pio's DVI is not HDCP compliant.
    Cheers Mark.
