I've compiled a list of DVD players which stream (I believe using the Sigma design EM8620L)

What I'm looking for is a DVD player that will:

    Do streaming via eth/wifi
    DVI/HDMI connectivity
    Built-in drive for media storage/server
    Upscale (hopefully)

My list so far each with his cavity:

    DLINK DSM-520 (no H.drive)
    BUFFALO PC-P3LWG DVD (no DVI)
    IODATA AVEL LINKPLAYER2 (no DVI)
    IODATA/JVC SRDVD-100U (no H.drive)
    KISS DP-600 (no H.drive)
    SnaZio SZ1350 (no H.drive)
    ZENSONIC Z500 (no H.drive)
    Quartek WHD500-V9 (no H.drive)
    Trans-Gear DVX-700 M20
    H&B DNX-8620 (no H.drive)

Only the Trans-gear has the Hard drive option !

Can anyone help with more information? Maybe device based on competing chipsets (mediatek etc. ?)

    Thanks

    Hello booyoo

Is a built-in Hard Drive really a priority?

Most folk are going to very quickly run out of space and revert to external storage devices and if your planning on multiple players then would a NAS not be a better solution as your 'server'.

    Best regards

    Joe

Thanks joe for your answer. I agree re storage space , my main concern is performance across wifi. Ideally I would like both a NAS for larger storage/download space and a wifi DVD with built-in drive sitting quietly near my tv - to overcome the wifi limitations for HD content while viewing.

Is this idea realistic or i'm off track?

    Thanks
