    Hello all.

I have a simple question. Are there any DVD players available to buy at the moment that can play WMP9 discs? I would really be interested in players that can handle home made content as the commercial stuff is plain boring.

Any links to reviews or information would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Rob

Thanks for the great links there guys.

The Linkplayer2 is looking promising, but I am yet to find confirmation that it plays 'home made' WMP9 files flawlessly. Does anyone here have first hand experience of this unit or any other WMP9 compatible machines?

    Cheers

"We are proud to announce that "On Our Way Up" is now shipping!
The WMV HD DVD version is also available, and it plays perfectly on the AVEL LinkPlayer!"

"V Inc. Bravo D3 - not shipping until supposedly August 2005

    IOdata - AVeL LinkPlayer 2 $250

Shipping already, just ordered one for myself. Component out, no
DVI/HDCP/HDMI. Next gen will have those outputs, but will not output SD
content out digital, so you'll have to connect both analog and digital.

    Buffalo Tech - PC-P3LWG/DVD $350
    http://www.buffalotech.com/products/product-detail.php?productid=96&categoryid=18
their product supports wired and wireless G Ethernet. They have
component out only as well, BUT they upconvert progressive DVD to
    720p/1080i!
I'll have a demo unit to play around with in the next week or two."

The Snazio SZ1350 out next week has a DVI-I output meaning no HDCP required.
