DVD Player with volume output adjust

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a DVD Player or Recorder where it is possible to adjust (increase) the output of the volume from the DVD player. The reason I would like this is because every time I play a pre-recorded disc, the volume is quite low compared to the signal I get from television programmes.

This could either be down to:

a) your current DVD player having outputs that are too quiet
b) your television's tuner being especially loud
c) the fact that audio on DVDs has a greater dynamic range than television broadcasts generally do (that is to say that audio is generally quieter on DVDs, which is in a way related to the fact that the overall audio quality is increased).

It's probably c.

What amp have you got? You might be able to adjust the output level for DVD there.

Hi. I don't know what you mean by ''amp''. Its just a DVD player connected to a TV with an HDMI.
