    Hi,

Does anyone know of a decent, reasonably priced (sub £400) dvd player that does pal progressive scan along with the new audio formats dvd-a and sacd ?

Another question on the pal progressive scan can you feed the video thru a video switching amp or does it have to be direct?

    Thanks,

    Robin.

    Hi Robin,

I think you'll have to raise your budget to £600+, then you could choose between the Pioneer 757Ai or the Denon 2900. Most amps today should have the bandwidth to accept a progressive signal. Hope this helps.

panasonic's new dvd-s75 plays 5.1 DVD-audio and most other formats, not sacd though.

However it does not do pal progressive... only ntsc prog.

    dunno if that's your bag..
