Having been thoroughly :censored: with samsung i have now decided to look elsewhere for an affordable hdmi player, the 2 that i have come across are the panasonic s97 ebs which i understand is avaiable as of today and also what appears to be the very impressive philips dv900sa altough in there catalogue but not yet avaiable i would appreciate any feedback on either of the 2 above.
    Thanks.
    :offtopic: samsung stinks!

I believe Denon have just released a DVI-D player with a built in scaler, I think it is the 1910, about £230.

Ok Ok, I was having a senior moment and when I view the back of the Denon on their site it looked like there was no scart.

    Sorry

My guess is he's hacked off by the timing. The unit has been promised on the street for so long with endless delays. Unfortunately, with the Philips it looks like it's more of the same.

So, the one to go for, which I have seen for £199 is the Denon.

No good for me though :( unless I buy a new projector :)))
