DVD Player with componant out for £90

    Did I get your attention :)

    Asda are selling the Paciffic dvd750 (not the dvd1000) for £90 with componant out :eek:
    My Brother compared it to his Toshiba 110 on a Sanyo plv-30 projector and coudn't tell the differance in picture quality.
    I will be taking a look at it myself tomorrow.
    Tempting isnt it.

    The £100 Cyber Home 528 thingy has component video. Not much point to it really.

    Using quality cabling, I've been able to tell the difference. Not at all tempting.

    It does have its uses.

    Component for the dvd player frees up the RGB scart without the need for passthrough or switcher.

    True. But if you have a display that has component inputs, are you really going to settle for a £100< player to go with it?
