Sorry if this is a ridiculously stupid question, but I am thinking about buying a DVD player, possibly a Samsung HD945. The problem is that I will have no where to put it apart from stacking it directly on top of my 435XDE receiver. Does anyone know whether stacking components like this would be ok? I understand that heat may be an issue. I have a Yamaha 750SE amp, but I will not be stacking that with the DVD player and media receiver.

Cheers for any advice given. :smashin:

Personally wouldn't be stacking a DVD player on top of an amp/receiver (or other way around). Seperate shelves Amp/receiver shelf above DVD for me.

sorry, my fault for not making myself clear.

the 435XDE is the seperate receiver for the pioneer plasma, its not actually an amp. I have an amp and understand that a DVD player should not be placed on top of it.

To reiterate my question, would a DVD player be ok stacked on the Pioneer 435XDE tuner.

Oh that shouldn't be so much of a problem. Haven't got either of yours so don't know how hot they run normally. Some DVD players run a lot hotter than others & I guess it depends on how hot yours run. (My Denon's run hotter than my Pioneer)
