DVD player SCART question...

Some DVD players have 2 SCART sockets - why? What can the 2nd one be used for? Can it be used as an input that just loops through the main SCART output? That would certainly be handy for people with only 1 SCART socket on their TV and/or VCR.

that is exactly what most people (including myself use it for). I piggyback my gamecube (in RGB) through the DVD (Pioneer 545) into the TVs one RGB scart socket.
