    Hi guys,

My Marantz DV4100 OSE has given up the ghost so i'm on the loom out for a replacement. The player will double up as my CD player also so good sound quality is a must. I have a budget of up to £300. I will be mating it to a 32" Panasonic 100hz CRT (Via RGB SCART) and Marantz SR4200 amp (Via digital co-ax).

    Any suggestions glady appreciated.

    Cheers.

Personally I have never touched any other DVD except Pioneer, My 757 is over your £300 budget though, just make sure there is 'Pioneer' written on the front and you can't go wrong imho.

    How about a Sony?
I have a Sony DVP-NS930 running through a Sony 42" Plasma. Its great, beautifully finished, easy to use and superb picture and sound. I had the NS900 before that - superb. I think the new DVP-NS955 has DIVX playback whereas the NS930 doesn`t, but I have just pulled that off a few websites so I can`t be 100% sure. In addition you will get SACD playback if that is a factor. Both the my Sonys have been pretty good with music too. :smashin:
