Question DVD player not showing in Windows

My DVD player isn't showing in Windows 10.
I have tried to look for it under device manager and its showing under where HD/SSD drives would be and not under CD/DVD drives.
I also tried to find it under Computer Management and it was there, but showing as 'Not Initialised' and it would not let me initialise it.
Its as if is being read as being a HD/SSD instead of a DVD reader/writer.
Any ideas?

I get this in W10 too if the drive is empty. See what happens if you put a disc in the drive.
