I'm using a JVC TH-A75 connected up to a 42" Toshiba RPTV. Never had problems before but now DVD's are just all fuzzy. It's not the scart socket (tried 3 of them) and the TV picture is fine. When I change the contrast and picture etc it still doesn't do anything. Any help much apreciated,

    Sam

The first thing I would try here would be to clean the laser pick-up - you can buy the necessary disk from most AV outlets - worth a try anyway.

    Hi Sam,

Do you have any other tv's in your house? If you do, I would connect the JVC dvd player to another set and see if this problem still applies. If it does, then you know the problem is being caused by the dvd player. If it plays ok on another tv, then you know the problem lies with the Toshiba.

This won't sort the problem out, but it will establish which part of your system is causing the problems, which will be a good starting point to rectifying the fault.

Is the JVC outputting RGB or s-video through it's scart socket?
