    Guys
I thought I knew about PCs an' the like, but could you tell me (or point me to a good info source) what these DVD player filters are that everyone seems to know about (except me). I take it they are not the CODECs, so what the heck are they, and why do they get fiddled about with so much?
    Ta.

You might be talking about the filters people use with Zoom player.

Zoom is only a front end which uses the video/audio filters of existing players such as WinDVD, Power DVD and the ATI player.

You don't have to worry about them if you're just using a standard player in its entirety.
