    A friend of mine has just brought a dell laptop:
    Spec.

    P4 2.6ghz
    512mbram
    32mb graphics Card
    Dvd/Cdr/w Combi Drive
    et al.

    Problem::

    When playing a dvd via WinDVd 4 the image jumps and the sound is out of sync with the image. He has changed the settings to 16bit but the problem is still there.

    There are no background programs running either. Disc's are new and unscratched.

    The Dvd is Region 2 and the player is unmodified.

    Any suggestions on how to correct this would be great.

    Cheers!

    Interesting.....I had problems with WinDVD4 also with the pause and speed controls not working properly.
    I now use WinDVD5 with the DVD-A/DTS/DD packs enabled...much better all round and well worth a little bit of money.
