    Hi,

Some of you may already know this news, as it has just appeared in one DVD magazine, but I'll post it here anyway, as I'm sure it will peak many people's interest.

On August 11th, the day after the last episode of "24 Season 2" has been shown on BBC2, Twentieth Century Fox will be doing a special 24-hour-only Sale edition of "24".

Essentially, for one day, and one day only, customers in high street stores only, will be able to buy a special edition, limited-release (of 1000 copies) of both Season 1 and Season 2 of acclaimed US drama "24".

As of the time of writing, the packaging and price of this special set has not been decided. However, it will be unique and totally different to the packaging used for the seperate sets of Seasons 1 and 2 of "24". The content, should be virtually identical to those of you who bought/are buying Season 1 and 2 separately.

Despite this, Fox are said to be planning something very special for the 1000 special sets, but have refused to comment on what the "special" something is. (Could be more extras, could be a taster of Season 3, could be a book or something else!)

So, if you are interested in buying Seasons 1 and 2 together, then you may want to consider trying to get hold of this limited edition boxed set. It should retail at somewhere between £85 to £100.

But this is for 24 hours only. Come Midnight on Monday 11th/Tuesday 12th August, any remaning sets will either be destroyed or withdrawn from all retail outlets!

That's one hefty price difference just to get the anonymous 'bonus', considering both can be bought separately on Reg 2 for around £60-£65 for the pair!!

And unless you're making some sort of investment and hope to sell the stupid thing for a profit later in life, never having opened or used it, the point of a 'limited edition' anything is what?

Oh yeah... right, so greedy companies can charge totally over the odds for useless 'limited edition' tat that people feel can fill a hole in their empty lives.

Harsh, maybe, but what's the point?
