    Hi :hiya:

I have been looking round in the UK for a 200 disc DVD changer without success. Does anybody know of any or anything that can do the same job?

    Monkey Alan,

No such luck, I spent a while looking into this last year. If you have a lot of region 1 disc and have the ability to display an ntsc picture, then have a look at the Soney DVP-CX777ES, http://www.crutchfield.com/S-RvwmdaquMLZ/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=54500&I=158DVPX777

With the current exchange rate with the US this is a great buy. I keep thinking about it, but then I might just sell the wife and kids and get a Kaleidescape system. I have found a dealer who will sell me a system for 10K, saving about 17k if I were to buy it in the UK.

    Hope that helps

also try, Kenwood in France and Germany, bit of a long shot, but Kenwood did have a 400 disc system in the UK. Then they stopped selling it, but it was still available on mainland europe and it would have region 2/pal support.

Thanks for all those suggestions, I don't have a wife an kids to sell, shame :D . I don't shop on e-bay as I have some friends that have had there fingers burnt. But I'll certainly be looking into importing one if possible a region 2 or multi as I haven't got many regions 1 discs. I think the Japs have region 2 as well.

Could be time to build a HTPC, and rip your movies to HDD.

I've been down the HTPC route already, I found it wasn't possible to connect a P.C to my T.V with a good enough picture quality. :thumbsdow

The Kenwood looks promising though  . I still can't find any sites that sell it though. I trust the menus will have english as well as france/german? What about power converter?

My CX 860 is not very reliable and I know that others have problems. The changer mechanism jams, fortunately I have found a solution which is to fill it only with.....er.......backed up DVD's. The mechanism doesn't ever jam up with these.

My longer term aim is to have my HTPC fitted with a couple of terabytes of hard drive space, and have the films all on there. Or if I'm not feeling lazy use the DVD 3910.
