    Hi,
I have an Elonex Artisan which i have hooked up to my Home Cinema amp and TV. A lot of the time when I watch a dvd on it the picture can be jerky - how can I fix this ? Also sometimes the sound is out of sync with the picture - someone told me it was because the sound is being decoded by my amp as well as by the artisan - any ideas on what I can do to resolve this also please ?

    thanks.
    Dom

Check "Transfer Mode" is DMA and not PIO.

This is how I did it.

If you don't know how: System Properties>Hardware>Device Manager>IDE Controllers>Properties>Advanced Settings

If you have PIO anywhere here, then you should uninstall the controller and reboot. Windows should reinstall with DMA.

PS If you make a mistake - then as Bart might say "I din't do it!" .

Do a search for Jerky and Stutter. Theres volumes of stuff that can be applied to a PC to help alleviate these.
