Does anyone know if DVD Import are 'customs friendly'? Answers may be PM'ed if you wish.
Nobody used them?
Not too many threads but if you do a search for DVD Import there are a few discussing them.
Have you any idea how many threads the search terms 'DVD' and 'Import' throw up?
I ordered Alien Quadrilogy from them a couple of months ago and the price marked on the box was below the customs threshold.
Presuming the url is http://www.dvdimport.com
Well if that site aint dvd soon, i dont know what is!
Have to admit the similarity, but I don't think they're connected. There's only so many ways to design a DVD shopping website, and most of them follow the same basic formula.
Interesting. I'm in a quandry as to whether to cancel my order with DVD Soon, as some of them have come through with $0.00 on the packaging. Arrghh!! Decisions, decisions.... I emailed DVD Import yesterday, to ask them, but had no reply yet.
No, I tell a lie, it was the language choice page that threw me.
That damn logo is identical to one on antoher site, except it doesnt say import it says sumthin else.
as soon as i remember, i'll let you know
Yes, I know exactly how many threads it turns up as I searched before hand. There are at least 2 threads with DVD Import as the title on the first page alone which are discussing DVD Import.
Yeah, I found them, thanks Greg.
I've ordered from them before and they were reliable enough with free postage taking about 5 days to reach me. I've already ordered the Star Wars trilogy from them as their price is by far the best around currently.
what about tax, how do they mark their parcels?
The items I ordered were only £11 each (the last set of Disney Treasure tins) but I believe they don't put the full amount down so you should be ok. What were you thinking of ordering?
Star Wars Box Set?
Well I've ordered mine from them already so I'm hoping they know about the duty thresholds! Myabe I'll drop them an email to ask...
Yeah, that's what I thought two days ago. Now, I'm thinking, maybe they'll reply. I've also put in a 'Call Me' request, so we'll see if they manage that. They have at least three different contact methods on their website. I do hope that their favourable prices don't reflect a lack of any reasonable customer services.
Well let me know if they reply. But as I said before, I've not had any issues with them for previous orders. I guess if you want to get the SWT dvds on the day of release then it will have to be amazon.co.uk R2 set...
Well, it seems the most successful way to contact them, might be through the website mail system, whereby you log in, and send a question connected to an order. I have just received a reply relating to another order, using this method, so I have just placed my order for SW, and sent them my question about customs through their website mail system.
I have yet to receive a reply to my previously sent e-mail, and no phone calls as yet, but then they've only been open since 2pm (our time). Maybe there's a queue.
