    Hi need some help desperately...

Rather stupidly - i've just bought a bargain DivX DVD from Smiths for £30. Thinking it had a headphone socket on the front of the pic. Turns out its a microphone slot.

No mention anywhere in the manual of using headphones. As i'm nearly deaf and require headphones and subtitles to watch films - im in a pickle.

Someone mentioned the possibility of buying a headphone amp - that plugs into my dvd and headphones into that.

Can anyone suggest a cheap way of allowing me to connect my headphones to my dvd? And i do mean cheap - dont want to spend £150..

The DVD player only cost £30 and the headphones were £20.,,

    any help appreciated... thanks
