    Current thoughts are;

    Panasonic E85
    Toshiba XS32
    Pioneer 520H

    Ease of use is the top requirement, it's for my parents.
    Must work with Sky Digital (hence RGB)
    Budget to £400-ish

    Thanks for any help.

    Panasonic without a doubt. Whilst the basic functions are straight-forward on all three recorders but even the 'complex' tasks on the E85 are straight-forward. It's the little things such as not having to press a button to pass through video, or worrying about bitrate settings (unless you want to). It's also an excellent DVD recorder.

    Thanks Rasczak, I took the plunge and got the E85. It's about to be gift wrapped ready for delivery on Christmas day!
