    Hey guys

I've just aquired a new PC, loaded with MCE.. but when i try to play dvd's using media center i get some severe ghosting on my second display (26" HDTV)

now i've tried to see what was causing it... when i watch the dvd on a normal VGA monitor i don't get ghosting at all, so i assumed it must be the HDMI cable, right?

so i used the vga cable to connect to my tv but the ghosting still occured!

and what is even more weird, is that when i watch the dvd using power dvd on the tv using HDMI, i get no ghosting whatsoever, instead a grainy image!!!

this is really frustrating!!!! has anyone else had this problem? or any advice to offer?

any help would be much appreciated!!!!

Graphics card? Driver version? DVD/MPEG2 decoder? Have you tried connecting to the HDTV alone as your primary display?

I tried connecting the HDTV alone as primary but still get the same problem with both dvi-HDMI and dvi-vga, but when i connect using VGA, it is a clearer image viewing the desktop, browsing the net etc, but i still get the problem with dvds

my graphics card is a 512mb ATI Raedon X1600, but i dontknow much about these things..

how would i know if the issue is with the graphics card/driver/dvd decoder?
