Hi, ive just got the L.G. RZ42PX11 plasma and very nice it is.

but in using a toshiba 110E dvd player - which is a good couple of years old - what im asking is, is it worth upgrading the DVD player to a newer one - as the LG is equiped with a DVI-D input, if so which DVD player? (that does not cost the earth as moving into new flat!)

Hard to say, something like a Pio 575 or Panny S97 could well give you a better PQ, by how much is hard to know I think.

IMHO one of the best ways to tackle this type of question is to critique the PQ you have at the moment and try to identfy what (if anything) you're unhappy with, then look to see what difference another player could make.

For example, I had a Sharp projector and it was very nice, but I came to see there were a couple of things about it I wasn't happy with and so I looked to see what alternatives there were that could improve or eliminate those problems.
