DVD drive sound output

    Should all of these come with digital output?

    I thought my previous ones had all been this way. My new one appears to only have analog.

    What gives?

    A digital output isn't really necessary these days - the same signal can be sent via the IDE cable although it's been a while since I came across a drive that didn't have one :confused:
