I too always look for the DTS logo when I'm buying DVDs as it definately sounds better on my set-up.
My guess is they're probably going to bring out a 'collectors edition' of Shrek2 in the future that may have a DTS soundtrack. It's a common marketing ploy!

There's always two sides to everything. I was thinking the exact opposite: Look at all the great DVD's coming out for Xmas

    Top Gun in DTS-ES
    LOTR ROTR Extended
    I, Robot in DTS
    Ultimate Matrix Collection (10 discs)
    Spiderman 2
    Predator 2 collector's edition

    etc etc

and then recently we've had re-releases of Shawshank redemption, Goodfellas, and we've seen some good new releases e.g. master and Commander, Day after tomorrow, Aladdin, Pirates of the Carribean 3 disc etc etc

all these rereleases are annoying me, i don't want to buy the same movie twice because the first release was below par. I don't see why they didn't put the effort into the first dvd release. the lord of the rings rerelease is slightly different as everyone knows of it beforehand and it actually requires the extra time to make it better

Totally agree with that, it is a shame that some studios do this to drain yet more money from us.
