DVD Recording: type-rw and ram discs do they need to be erased before they can be re-used or do they behave like a video and the new recording instantly replaces the old?

Recorders with Freeview - am I right that to-date there is only one machine with it , a Sony

They need to be reformated, or at least items erased to be re-used.

And so far the Sony is the only one, but expect a flood of recorders from other manufacturers. Also expect to see more dual-layer recorders, soon too.

    Regards

    Mark
