How many DVD films does everybody have??

What is the most you've ever paid for a DVD film and why??

How many different regions are present in your collections??

    I have 70 DVD's, from R0, R1, R2, R3 and R4. The most i'v ever paid, £21 for Terminator SE R4.

    190 and counting........
there is roughly a 2:3 ratio of region 1 to region 2 discs.
the most spent on a single disc is £38 (!!) for the criterion collection brazil (3 -discs). worth every penny!!!

    Hi,

I've got about 130 films, of which the ratio is about 55:45 Region 2 to Region 1.

As for the most expensive, that would be the Nightmare On Elm Street (8 DVD's) Box Set which cost me about £65!

    70+, mostly R1, a few R3 (recoded R1's) and a handfull of R2 and R4.
Of course some R0 and at least one R2-6.

Most expensive was IMHO "The Abyss" SE at MYR160 (I guess the "Die Hard" Triology won't count, would it?).
Wasn't really worth it as I am not so keen on the extras as I am usually satisfied with the movie as long as pic and sound are good.

The reason? Because the movie is not available on it's own.

Currently standing at 85. And no money left :(
Otherwise would have topped 100 by now.
I think Jenz has the most looking at a previous string. Somewhere around 1400

250, 90% of which are R1, the rest R2.Most paid woutld be about £60 incl duty for the Alien collection.

Fartpants, "educational titles"? Is that what they call them these days? ;)

BTW, whilst not on this subject at all, somebody asked me why blue movies are called blue movies - anyone know? Purely for educational reasons you understand :D

I think that the reason that they are called blue films, is that back in the good old/bad old days anything on a film that was thought to be risque or unappropiate was marked with a blue marker, to be edited/deleted at the final stage; (or is someone going to tell me different).
sorry about the spelling, spell checker not working.
