dvd amp settings

    i have a compacks ab 6820 dvd player i have got it connected to my sony HTK250Home Theatre Kit by a digital coaxial cable all my speakers are connected up to the sony the dvd has sockets for speakers aswell in the settings for the dvd can i turn the speakers on or off as i am not useing the dvd speaker sockets sorry if it sounds complecated

    The outputs for 'speakers' are designed to go into your amp, such things are useful for SACD or DVDA. Yes you should be able to turn these features off via the DVD menu
