DVD-A1XV(A) question about the RS232 port.

Trying to keep it short:

If you (like me) have an DVD-A1XV and upgraded it to the A specs, Will the RS232 connection be activated by default?

In my case theres no communication(I'm pretty sure that i've got the right HEX for the Pronto) what so ever between the DVD-A1XV(A) and my Pronto system(TSU-9800/RFX-9600), It's very strange/upsetting since my AVP(with the right HEX) talks to the Pronto without any problems.

Could it be that my RS232 port are broke, Or is it just something that i have to turn on from the settings menu in the A1XV(A)?
