    I have a Pioneer DV565-a and a Yamaha RX-V496 RDS and a DVD-A disc.

My amp has connections at the back marked 6 channel external decoder. If I connect the outputs from the DVD player to these will the DVD player decode the DVD-A and then send the signal to the amp in its correct format so that i get the full benefit of the 6 channels?

I tried to find my instruction manual but it's in the loft and i have not got any ladders :lease:

Steve, in answer to your question, yes.

PS, I can lend you a ladder if needed alternatively have a look here for an online manual :)

Great, I now need to get some ladders so I can get up the loft to find some spare phono leads. I think they are in the same box as the manual  :D
