I have an ex-OnDigital Nokia box with co-ax digital out. I also have a Denon ADV home cinema amp with optical digital in. So- coax digital out, optical digital in.
Question is fairly basic- I know I can buy a coax-optical convertor plus separate optical and coax leads. But will I REALLY notice an improvement over using good quality phono leads between the analogue L & R sockets of these two pieces of hardware?
I can get good (eg: QED,IXOS) analogue phonos and still have change from the cost of buying chepo digital convertor plus co-ax and optical leads from Keene, Maplin etc....
Any views?
