Has anyone had the opportunity to compare the DV88 Plus to the DV27 (Vaddis 5 progressive) in terms of video performance?

I have a DV88Plus and am considering the SiI504 PS upgrade board which should bring video performance up to about DV27 level. It's a bit pricey at US$600, but if it's a noticable improvement, that may be worthwhile to me since DVDs are the main point of my HT system.

However, I don't have access to a DV27 to audition a comparison, so I'd like to hear what people have to say that have seen a DV27 vs. a stock DV88 Plus.

    TIA,

    Dean

I have a DV88+ with the Sil503 upgrade. The image is quite a lot quicker with this board (I always felt like action scenes were playing at 2/3 speed before) but the image quality is exactly the same.

    Dean,
The only person that springs to mind that might know the answer to this is General Skanky, he has had both. Drop him a PM.

    Regards
