i would not think much, now that some shops are selling at silly prices.

I'd think you'd be lucky to get £350 for it.
Seems a shame really that such a good player has come down so low.
Makes you think how much they were making on these in the first place, if they can now sell them new for half price and still make money.
i was just thinking the other day, if i was to sell mine i would be losing 60/70% of what i paid for it.
Atleast you can advertise it as having the better PQ over the 88+/89.

creative audio were doing the dv88+ for £499, and the 89 for £599 (not sure if they still are, though)

i'd be interested in your dv88, at the right price ;)

does it do PAL and NTSC progressive?

let me know what you're after, mate, as i'm tempted to go for the dv88+

there's one on ebay (buy it now for £495, if creative are no longer doing them for £499) EDIT: they are still doing them here , which is good for me, but probably not for you :(

also, what are the differences between the dv88P, and the dv88+, as i don't really know?

    whereabouts are you?

you should be able to get between £350 and £400 for your DV88P, tip, throw in free delivery and a couple of dvd's that should get you a good price on e-bay, also if you phone round arcam delaers, any with stock of the DV88 Plus should sell it to you for £600.00 (take it from me you CAN get it for this price if they have any stock left)

the dv88 with the upgrade prog scan board has better picture quality over the dv88+ and dv89, not 100% sure what else though.

It probably wouldnt be that far off £550-600. I'm in two minds though....Im keeping my plasma for living room and when I move house (soon) i'll be loft converting and fitting a projector....I could use my a11 for the projector and keep the dv8p with the plasma....as I said, im not 100% sure what I want to do yet kez. Mind you, if you want to buy it and offer a price which I cant refuse I may be tempted...

p.s. If you do have an offer in mind and I accept, we would have to move over to classifieds, i dont want to rule breach. Plus if Im the seller, I'm really meant to give you a price.

hmmm...i'm in two minds also. i plan to buy an avr100 or 200 to go with it, so need to buget for that, too. annoyingly, i missed out on an unused tag av32r processor, which went for £870 :(

ok, then...i'll go to £550 collected (depending on location). can pay by bank transfer :) i really couldn't justify any more than that, as i can get a brand new dv89 for £600. admittedly PQ might not be as good, but it has dvd-audio. having said that, i'm not really fussed about dvd-audio.

i just fancy something better than my limit 9900se and sherwood amp, to go with my panny ae100 and mission fs2av speakers.

how old is it? boxed, accessories, etc? any warranty? receipt?

actually, imho the DV88p is inferior in picture quality and sound to a DV88+/DV89.

The DV88p does however have the better progressive scan board (Sil503) which gives a faster moving picture than the DV88+ - but not any better in regards to jaggies etc..
