Has anybody else experienced problems with their DV88 playing newer DVD releases. All my problems are choppy image & sound so its gotta firmware related but what are the chances of an upgrade being released. None I expect, so does anybody have any suggestions.

Do you know exactly which DV88 you have as they are the original DV88, a DV88+, and a DV88Plus which is what I have.

The latest f/w for the DV88 and DV88+ is 1.81 which you can read about at this website...

    http://www.audiophilesystems.com/arcam/index.htm

...look at the "DVD Software Updates" section lower down the page.

The latest f/w for the DV88Plus is 5.13 which I got via a friendly helpful member of these forums. I'm an IT techo by day so installing the updates is easy and straightforward for me but if in doubt go back to your dealer for professional assistance.

The following website was updated earlier this year so doesn't have the latest f/w versions listed, but it's still a very good resource for info on our model of DVD...

    ...have fun, and Happy XMAS.
