    hi all,

i think i read somewhere(...?...)that the drop out problem with this player(dts and cd playback) has something to do with matching it with this amp.
ive just hade it mine in for the proscan upgrade and also requested the latest firmware/driver to be loaded,i explained this problem to them.
its noe back and the drop outs are no better.so could it be my a1 causing the problems:confused:

thats not all its just died on me this morning.
wont read the discs(cd/cvd)keep getting the message"NO DISC" So back to the dealer today.

im really getting sick.£1350 quid, you would think they would be more reliable.

    still love the sound/pic though;)

    regards carl

    Carl,

From what I have read, it is the Yamaha that is at fault in that it cannot fully read the tags used to set sound decoding types (i.e. DTS). It also appears that the problem only occurs when the DV88 is combined with a Yamaha, thereby making the Yamaha the common component...

Shame to hear about you player problems...:(

I'm sure there are other threads about this issue, have a search and you may find some more detailed info.
