    I have a '717 and want to know to what use i can put the second scart to as it's idle at the moment.

    They are used for "loopthrough" and are useful if you only have one RGB enabled scart on your TV.

    In those circumstances a Digibox will output RGB into the second scart of the DVD player which will pass through into the scart socket on the TV meaning that both Digibox and DVD will benefit from the better quality pictures available from RGB

    But unfortunatley the 717 does not have RGB loop through, only composite.

    I don't understand why you feel you have to use it.

    I don't need to use it at the moment,but it may come in handy if i need an extra scart in the future.Thanks
