    Hi,

I am looking for a USB2 cable to connect from my Panasonic digital video camera into my PC (USB2). Does anyone know where I can get a cable, or does anyone have one for sale.

I want to be able to edit my films from my camera - I have just installed Studio 8 to give it a go.

    Cheers
    Marck.

You can't use USB (1.1 or 2.0) to capture full quality DV footage from a camcorder to a PC. You can only use firewire aka iLink, ieee1394 and DV port.
Although USB2.0 is technically faster than firewire , that speed is a peak and not constant like firewire.
Just get yourself a ~£10 PCI firewire card that will include a firewire cable for connecting the cam to the card and the camcorder will be automatically detected and then controlled by the editing software.

    Mark,

Cheers for that - it is what I thought.
