    Hi,
Im having trouble recognizing my Panasonic NV-DS37 on my PC.
I have installed a safeway firewire card. But I cant find a driver for the camcorder. It displays in device manager under imaging devices but with a yellow exlamation mark and words to the effect of "device is not present or not working properly".
Anyone know of a fix please.

No special drivers are required for your camera. It would appear that the 1393 drivers are not installed, or are corrupted.

What operating system are you using?

No special drivers are rquired for Me, they should all be resident.

First try Windows Update to see if updated ochi1394 drivers are available.

Can you try another camera and cable? If this does not work suspect the card is faulty - try the manufacturer support.

Also make sure that the 1394 Bus Controller in Device Manager is not set to diagnostic mode.

I accidently set mine to "diagnostics" and the camera was not recognised when plugging it in.
